I’ve lived in Tennessee for almost 5 years, and had only been to Chattanooga once, that is until I met English.  She and her fiance Carlos are getting married at their home in Chattanooga next month.  They asked if would make the trip twice for some engagement photos on the River and near the iconic choo-choo.  Of course I would!  On the drive there, the thermometer in my car was reading 102 degrees, but thankfully we waited until later in the day which made for killer light and some cooler temperatures.  Check out Carlos’s StingRay!  I was pumped when I saw that pretty thing sitting out ready for photos–there will definitely be more of photos of it at the wedding (I’m kind of drooling over this car.)  I just love these two, and cannot wait for the wedding!  See you next month!

finally . . .

I have a new website!

picture-11The amazing Ryan Spanswick (and former groom) has finally delivered the awesomeness.  Ryan ships out in a week, so it was now or never.  Thank you Ryan!  Also, a big thank you to Shayne Ivy (another former groom) for my super neat new logo (not so new, but he deserves a shout too).

Cap and Shannon were married on June 6th at Cornerstone Church in Knoxville.  Exactly six months before their wedding, Shannon caught Christina’s bouquet at the same church, and then received an engagement ring later that evening.  I was thrilled when she called and asked me to shoot her and Cap’s wedding!  In a word, “happy” describes their day perfectly.  All anyone had to say was “Cap” and Shannon’s face instantly beamed.  They decided to see each other before the ceremony to get the portraits out of the way.  Cap and Shannon also waited to have their first kiss at their wedding.  While they didn’t quite make it until Saturday, their first kiss actually happened on the Tuesday before.  But once they were husband and wife, air couldn’t even get between them, and we snuck out of the reception to get some hot-kissy-photos (insert woo-hoos here ;) ).  These two are so incredibly in love, it was almost too easy to photograph them.  I wish you two all the best, and I hope you enjoy your preview!!

Heath and Autumn live in Georgia, but grew up in Decatur.  Autumn asked me if we could take their engagement photos in their hometown.  She had an awesome bridge picked out for her location, as well as a farm near her family’s home.  Heath definitely scored brownie points for putting up with the insane heat just to make his lady happy.  It was one of the hottest days of the summer, but I’ll take it any time over a rain-out, resulting in us having to reschedule.  I hope your wedding is incredible!  Have fun in Alabama!
