curry-7815I had a double header weekend in September, which, is against my rules.  After last year nearly killed me by attempting 7 weddings in the month of October, I decided to never take on more than one wedding a weekend.  Well, I couldn’t say no to Carrie and Brian.  When she explained her wedding to me, I knew we were a perfect match (how could I say no when she told me she’d be donning a yellow J. Crew dress!?).  They were married at Adelaide’s in Kingston, a brand-spanking new venue that is oh-so gorgeous for weddings.  The wonderful staff at Gibson Girls Southern Goodies provide the beautiful cake, catered and facilitated the event.  It was so delicious, and damn near perfect.  Carrie asked me to arrive about 30 minutes before the ceremony, which has never happened before.  James and I arrived only to find Brian and Carrie’s family, but not the bride and groom.  I found Carrie’s mom, who informed me the two of them were going to walk down the aisle together as soon as they arrived.  They had one of the shortest ceremonies ever, but still very emotional.  We then spent the next 2 hours roaming the grounds for portraits.  I was smitten.  That never happens!  Into the night, more and more guests arrived to celebrate with the lovely couple.  Because not a single part of their wedding was “traditional” (with the exception that a man and woman came to get married), there were no key moments for me to capture at the reception, so we set up a very impromptu photo booth, that I’ve named “hoopla!”  (interested?  I’m definitely doing this again in the future).  The images were so good they got their own blog HERE.  We ended the night with glorious keg stands.  I’m so happy it didn’t rain on this affair.  Hope you guys like your preview!
