I made a very last minute trip to Nebraska last week.  While I was there, of course, I had to take photos!  Meet Chelsea, and her husband, Brent.  Chelsea and I were buddies in high school, and like millions of you, we stay connected via facebook.  I got an email from her a few months ago saying, “I’ve been trying to think of an excuse to hire you for photos, and I finally have one!  We’re having a baby!”  Hoo-ray for babies!  I hadn’t seen Chelsea in a few years, nor had I met her husband yet, but our session was full of laughs and stories (and of course, gossip!).  Chelsea is 29 weeks along in these photos, and the gender of the little one is unknown ( I absolutely LOVE surprises.)  Great to catch up with you again!  Can’t wait to meet the little one!

This family is so wonderful!  I’ve been in acquaintance with them since early 2007, when they came to Oak Ridge to discuss Amanda’s wedding. It was an epic wedding.  And as time goes by, I’ve begun to notice how popular Glenn really is!  If you’ve browsed my website, you may recognize his pretty face holding the shotgun.  Yes, he did.   We got back together a few months ago, when Amber announced her engagement to Matt. I am so happy to be photographing their wedding next spring in Folly Beach!  Our night on the mountain started off no less than entertaining when we rustled up a hornet’s nest.  Then, I made Amber stand in poison ivy (hey, better her than me!).  And as we made our way back to Futch Holler, Chris came walking up the driveway with a black snake coiled around his arm.  I FREAKED out, and did my best not to cuss at him (the only thing I have a severe phobia of is snakes).    The sun may have been gone, but I wasn’t done shooting.  They called up their niece to come over, for a very impromptu belly session.  How cute is her little belly!  Her baby boy will be here in September, but hopefully not while we’re all in Folly Beach taking Matt & Amber’s engagement photos.   Futch-7536
