The film FINALLY came in! I had a couple of Holga’s working their wedding. Wes Hope was snapping away on his plastic camera, and the majority of the black and white images are his (I honestly can’t remember which ones, so let’s just say the “good” ones are his
Perfect camera for a wedding in an 1800′s primitve church, huh?

Finally, their day after photos! After Tim and Kate’s wedding, we did the only INSANE thing to do–go back into the tourist trap known as Cades Cove on a holiday
I’ve got a serious love/hate for Cades Cove. I love love love the scenic backdrops, but I am not a patient person, and the one-way 11 mile road at 10 mph literally takes all day! However, I must say, that it was worth it. We had to bust some butt to get out of Cades Cove to get them to their reception on their wedding day, so there was really no time for portraits of the 2 of them in the park. The perfect solution: a day after session. We got some beautiful afternoon sun, which provided killer light for our session. And of course, we shot into the night after the sun went down. Kate was my first 2 dress brides, she wore a modern gown for their ceremony, but for the reception she donned her Grandmother’s wedding gown, from the 1940′s. Isn’t it beautiful?

Tim and Kate planned a destination wedding to Tennessee. They had an absolutely charming vintage wedding in the Primitive Baptist Church in Cades Cove. They had that tiny little church packed wall to wall with guests who all made the long trip in for their wedding. We spent a LOT of time on the road that day. Cades Cove is not a place to be if you’re in a rush, so we had a lot of great planning to get us everywhere on time. After the ceremony at Cades Cove, we ended their day back at Brother’s Cove for a beautiful reception. It was my first time there, and I’m excited to go back next month for another wedding! Tim and Kate included a 2nd shooter in their package, so I asked Wes Hope of Hope Photography to come along and shoot with me. He kept the long car ride entertaining
(keep your eye on his blog for some of his awesome images from this wedding!). This is not the end. I am still waiting on their Holga film, and have yet to finish their newlywed session images. I know you’ve been waiting so patiently for these, Kate and Tim! Enjoy–and stay tuned for more.
